1. Why can't you free dive with the Vaincre mask?

The volume of air contained in the Vaincre mask is much greater than that contained in a traditional mask; from 15 inch deep, the pressure of the mask on the face becomes very uncomfortable. When you free dive, you need to equalize the pressure afterwards. However, with the Vaincre mask this is not possible because you cannot get at your nose.

2. Can I use the Vaincre mask if I have a beard?

Beards can be responsible for letting in significant amounts of water. We recommend that men shave their beards before using the Vaincre mask because the hairs can break the seal between the silicone skirt of the mask and your skin.

3. How does the dry-top system stop water from entering?

It was developed to stop water from getting into the snorkel when there is choppy water, small waves on the surface or when the user leans their head too far forward to observe the seabed. There is a float in the snorkel that rises when you dive and blocks the tube. After diving, remember to blow out when returning to the surface to make sure that the float descends.

4. Can Child use the Vaincre mask with Small size?

You should measure from the bridge of your child's nose to the bottom of your child's chin. If it's more than 3.9" and less than 4.7inch you can order a S/M for your child.

Adult size is the same way to measure. Select S/M if the lenght is less than 4.7 inch. Select L/XL if the length is greater than 4.7 inch.

5. How to prevent fog-up?

This tips is also for the mask with integrated mount.

Usually the mask fogs up because when you wear the mask the silicone parts do not close on your nose so that the exhaled air can go through the nose to the eye window and fog it up. There is one way to prevent fog up. When you wear the mask, adjust it well to grab your face. Then the important part is to pull the mask down to make the nose silicone parts grab on your nose. Then try to exhale. You should have no more fog.

6. What precautions should I take with my Vaincre mask?

One thing to look out for: SAND. Avoid letting your Vaincre mask come into contact with sand as this can scratch the window of the mask. If sand is present, do not use force to clip the snorkel into place. Rinse the snorkel and mask before connecting them. Sand can also clog the float valve inside the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel vigorously or use a key that you can fit through the rear vents of the snorkel to unblock the float valve, then rinse the snorkel.
